Trinidad and Tobago Fishing Fleet

Photo

All of the boats in the harbor at Trinidad and Tobago were fishing boats with the gracefully curved bamboo pole outriggers. They all decorate their boats on the moorings the same way for no apparent reason other than it looks nice in the harbor. It wouldn’t look so nice if there were only one or two boats with the outriggers. Every boat in the harbor had them and all of the boats are about the same size with their motors all tilted the same way.

Jambalaya

Jambalaya has seen better days, much the same as its home port of Grenada. It is a proud boat all the same with its bow sloping upward and held high. The name is out of place since Jambalaya is a Louisiana dish. If the red color is a metaphor for tomato sauce, Jambalaya it is.
