I bought my first 35mm camera in 1981. It was a Fujica Auto 5 rangefinder camera. It shot either ASA 100 or 400 film and had four focus settings: infinity, macro, and two in between. I used ASA 100 Kodak Gold or Fuji and “infinity” for almost everything. It had a 38 mm lens with an f2.8 aperture. My wife Marne gave me a Canon AE1 Program for Christmas in 1986 and I used a Vivitar Series II 28-135mm zoom lens. The Canon gave me the capability to use Kodachrome at ASA 25. The transparencies were scanned using a Microtek ScanMaker i900 and SilverFast software.
