It was almost noon on the first day of my tour and the rain had just stopped when I arrived at this dam on the south side of Lac St-Jean. The shelter, one of many on the Veloroute, was a nice place to stop, snack, and enjoy the lake for a few minutes. This dam is used to control the depth of the water. The large dam in Alma is used to generate hydroelectric power for regional industries.
